Gabriela Muñoz Rodríguez, a native of Coamo, Puerto Rico, began her violin studies at 8 years old at the Escuela Libre de Música de Ponce. Her career as a violinist has led her to participate in prestigious international festivals such as Eastern Music Festival (2017, 2018) and Aria International Summer Academy (2019). In addition, she has participated in master classes from internationally recognized musicians such as Dr. Corey Cerovsek, Lynn Chang, Dr. Katie Lansdale, among others. She continued undergratuate studies at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, where she completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and awarded with the Strings Medal, an award given to the student with the highest average from the department. Among her principal violin teachers we can highlight Prof. Carolina Pons Martínez, Prof. Henry Hutchinson Negrón and Prof. Omar Velázquez Frías. Gabriela is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Violin Performance, studying under the tutelage of Dr. Carolyn Stuart.
