Erika holds both  Bachelors and Master of Music music degrees from Florida State University and a Performance Certificate from the Conservatory of Italian Switzerland. Erika is currently an active teacher and performer, performing with several orchestras in the North Florida and South Georgia region. Recently, Erika was appointed Concertmaster of the Panama City Symphony and will begin that role in the 23-24 season.

Erika has been teaching violin since 2016. In addition to teaching a studio of in-person students, Erika has over 700 recorded online teaching hours through the online platform, Wyzant. Erika has also taken over 40 credits of music education classes at Florida State University, where she was heavily involved with the music education program during her time there. Erika currently has a thriving studio of in-person and online students and welcomes students of all levels and ages. 

Erika believes that students of any age can be successful with the right guidance and environment. Erika’s approach to teaching includes a focus on accommodating the unique strengths and weaknesses of each individual and focusing the efforts of the lesson on the goals and interests of the students.
