Emily Morgan Sobacki

Emily Morgan Sobacki received her Bachelor of Music in violin performance from Illinois State University where she graduated cum laude. She continued at ISU to earn her Master of Music in 2008 with departmental honors. As a graduate student she acted as assistant to Dr. Sarah Gentry and second violinist of the Faculty String Quartet. An active orchestral performer, Emily also served as Concertmaster of the ISU Symphony and Chamber Orchestra and member of the 1st violin section with the Peoria Symphony Orchestra. She also attended the Sugar Creek Symphony & Song (IL), Dublin Symphonic Festival (Ireland) and the Aegean Verdi Festival (Greece).
Ms. Sobacki has been teaching violin and viola since 2001. A Suzuki-registered teacher, she has received her training at the American Suzuki Institute (Steven’s Point, Wisconsin), Ithaca College Suzuki Institute, and at WSSTE. Emily previously ran a private Suzuki studio in Lake in the Hills, IL. Currently she is focusing on her role as a Suzuki Parent.
