Violinist Elizabeth Ivy Wilson has appeared internationally as a chamber and orchestral musician. She has performed at a variety of venues including Jordan Hall, Severance Hall, Seully Hall, Wright Auditorium and Flethcher Hall. A proud Suzuki kid, her life-long passion for the violin started at the age of 4 when she began Suzuki violin studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music under Rebecca Ensworth and Michelle George. In 1996 Elizabeth had the honor and pleasure of playing for and meeting Dr. Suzuki in his home along with participating in the 42nd Suzuki Grand Concert in Tokyo, Japan. As an orchestral musician Ms. Wilson has performed with various New England orchestras, and has toured with the international symphony, Philharmonia of the Nations. She received her Bachelor of Music degree in 2009 from the New England Conservatory of Music where she studied violin performance under Lucy Chapman and Marylou Speaker Churchill.

Upon moving to Greenville, Ms. Ivy Wilson supplemented her studies by earning a double certificate in Violin Performance under Ara Gregorian and Suzuki Pedagogy under Joanne Bath at East Carolina University. She is an active freelance musician and performs with The Long Bay Symphony in South Carolina. She also enjoys teaching her private studio in Greenville and performs frequently in New Bern with the Trent River Chamber Players. Currently, she teaches Suzuki violin classes, grades 6th through 12th, at Snow Hill, Greene County Schools as well as the Oakwood School in Greenville. Ms. Ivy Wilson has appeared as a clinician with the Greenville Suzuki Saturday events, North Carolina Suzuki Institute at East Carolina University and, as an alumni artist at the Summer Chamber Music Institute at East Carolina University.
