Dawna Rone teaches violin and viola for Suzuki Music Columbus and is an associated faculty member with the Chamber Music Connection.  She received her B.M. from The Ohio State University where she studied under Michael Davis and Laurel Butler, and her M.M. from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where she studied under Catharine Carroll and Masao Kawasaki.  Dawna has taken teacher training courses from Ed Sprunger, Linda Stieg, Ronda Cole, Ed Kreitman, and Kimberly Meier-Sims.  In addition to teaching many violin and viola students from preschool-high school age, Dawna is an active freelance performer in the central Ohio area.  She was formerly the principal violist of the Westerville Symphony from 2009-2017 and currently holds positions in the Newark-Granville and Springfield Symphony Orchestras.  Dawna lives in Hilliard, Ohio with her three kids: Elijah, Abby, and Jacob; and two cats: Derek and Millie.
