Audrey A. Powell

Audrey Powell was born and raised in Utah. She began playing the cello at the age of four under the direction of Margaret Ferry. She began her study in the Suzuki method and completed book level 10 in 2020 as a student of Brittany Gardner. Most recently she has studied with the incredible Dr. Lauren Posey of Salt Lake City. Audrey is passionate about group music in chamber, quartets, and orchestras. She was an original member of the Amichivoli Cello choir in Salt Lake UT, and a founding member of the Sage String Quartet. Audrey is a 3 times winner of the ASTA competition held yearly at Weber State. Audrey especially enjoys playing music with her siblings at varied venues all around Utah. Teaching students to play and love the cello has brought her great satisfaction. She continues learning and is thrilled to share what she is learning with her students.
