Annelies Mast started her Suzuki training at the age of five. She attended the Peabody Conservatory of Music and received her Masters of Music in violin performance in 2005 and her Bachelors in violin performance in 2003. While at Peabody Annelies studied with Herbert Greenberg, the former Concertmaster of the Baltimore Symphony, and received numerous merit-based scholarships and awards.

Since graduating, Annelies has won a one-year contract with the National Symphony Orchestra and also performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, National Washington Opera, Bergen Philharmonic (Norway) and numerous ensembles in Carnegie Hall.

As well as performing, Annelies is an energetic and committed Suzuki violin teacher who believes in teaching each of her students with individuality and respect. She strives for a fun and challenging environment to promote growth and confidence. Annelies completed graduate studies at Peabody in violin pedagogy and completed "Every Child Can" and the Book 1 Suzuki certification program at the Greater Washington Suzuki Institute with Ronda Cole. She also completed the 2-year Suzuki certification program at School for Strings with Allen Lieb and Katherine Gerson. Annelies is currently violin faculty at the Brooklyn Music Conservatory, Diller-Quaile School of Music and has an active private studio.
