“Ms. Alissa” maintains a large private studio in Albuquerque with students of all ages in violin and viola. She started as an apprentice teacher at Northern Arizona University in 1998 and has been encouraging students ever since.

For years, she was the Suzuki program director at a K-8 charter where every student plays violin, viola or cello. Her students are in all levels of the Youth Symphony program and past students have gone on to Scholarship and conservatory level work. Alissa has done city-wide festival judging and coaching. Her students participate in their school orchestras, give regular recitals and perform for events. Ms. Rieb is also currently enjoying being a pre-school music teacher.

Alissa Rieb is a past recipient of the “Emerging String Teacher of the Year” award for the state of Nevada from the American String Teachers’ Association.

In her spare time, Ms. Alissa and her husband travel, attend concerts, read, camp and play with their dog Stitch!
