Alea J. Atkinson

Starting the Suzuki method at the age of 3 under the teachings of Laura Lee Atkinson. Ms. Alea Atkinson has successfully graduated from all 10 books. Ms. Atkinson is continuing to pursue music through college and is hoping to bring a more modern, 21st century view on the Suzuki method whilst still maintaining the traditional principles.

Ms. Atkinson has received various awards in violin performance and continues to be a prominent performer in the Aiken area. She has performed with some of the most prestigious youth orchestras in South Carolina. Including the South Carolina Youth Philharmonic under the direction of Neil Casey and has been selected to perform in All- State orchestra for 4 consecutive years.

Though she may look very young, Ms. Atkinson has a solid foundation when it comes to the Suzuki method. She looks forward to working with children and teaching them the basic principles of the Suzuki method while also implementing modern views and techniques. Ms. Atkinson hopes to help children have the same intense passionate love for music that she carries.
