Abigail Haynes has been teaching violin and voice lessons privately for ten years. She was raised as a Suzuki violin student, beginning her study at age four and pursuing her interests in strings, brass, and vocal music throughout her school career.

Abigail holds the Bachelor of Music from Gordon College in Wenham, MA. She was a member of the Gordon College Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Music Program, under the leadership of James Jorgenson, James Buswell, and Carol Ou. She was violin soloist with the Salem Philharmonic Orchestra in 2001. She has also sung as soloist and chorister with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, The Lubbock Chorale, and the semi-professional choir Lyricora.

She studied in the long-term Suzuki teacher training program at the Hartt School of Music with teacher-trainer Linda Fiore. Abigail is a registered Suzuki teacher in Books 1 through 4, and she is a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas.

She currently maintains a private violin studio, is a regular singer with the St. John’s Schola Cantorum in Worcester, and homeschools her own four children.
