Emily Rideout

Dr. Emily Rideout, (violin/viola), is an active teacher and performer in the Boston area. She holds a doctorate in viola performance from Boston University, and has studied Suzuki pedagogy with Linda Fiore, Kimberly Meier-Sims, Allen Lieb, Ed Sprunger, Teri Einfeldt, Kathleen Spring, and Michelle George. She has been featured as a speaker at the SAA Conference, and has performed in major concert halls in North America, Europe, and Asia, including Carnegie Hall, Osaka Hall (Japan), and the Banff Centre (Canada). She has appeared as guest artist with the Emerson, Muir, and Avalon String Quartets, and performs regularly with groups such as Boston Baroque, Handel and Haydn Society, and Boston Modern Orchestra Project. She holds degrees from Boston and Stony Brook Universities and Moravian College.
