Session Proposal: "How Was Your Practice This Week?"

“How was your practice this week?” is a question I ask my students at the beginning of each of their lessons and to which I was often hearing the same repeated response: “good.” My ears grew weary of this word and the nonchalant way that my students tossed it out. I wanted my students to start to honestly reflect upon their week’s work and so I created a chart with synonyms for “good” and “bad” which the students can refer to after I pose my weekly inquiry.
