Dr. Lucy Lewis is Assistant Professor of Orchestral Music Education at California State University San Bernardino, and enjoys an active career as a soloist, chamber/orchestral musician, and teaching clinician. Dr. Lewis holds degrees in music education/violin performance from Andrews University, where she studied with Carla Trynchuk. At Andrews, she directed the string program at the Ruth Murdoch Elementary School and completed her student teaching under Roberta Guaspari in East Harlem. Dr. Lewis also holds a Master of Music degree in violin performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Piotr Milewski, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Iowa, where she studied with Scott Conklin. Dr. Lewis has registered training with Moshe Neumann, Edmund Sprunger, Edward Kreitman, Ann Montzka-Smelser, Alice Joy Lewis, Carol Dallinger, Nancy Lokken, Susan Kempter, Christie Felsing, Mark Bjork, William Preucil, Sr., and Julia Hardie.
