Caitlin Smith

Caitlin started playing Suzuki violin as a rambunctious four-year-old. Twenty-five years later, Caitlin is an active performer, researcher, and teacher. She holds a Master of Music from the Royal Academy of Music in London and a Bachelor of Music in violin performance from Brigham Young University. Caitlin has performed in prestigious venues worldwide, including London’s Royal Festival Hall, Budapest’s Liszt Academy, Beijing’s Poly Theater, and Salt Lake City’s Temple Square. Caitlin has presented research at music conferences around the world, recently at Singapore’s Yong Siew Toh Conservatory. She has enjoyed being on faculty at St. Joseph’s School of Music (MN), the St. Paul Conservatory of Music, and the Scotia Suzuki School of Music. Caitlin also loves playing basketball and Bananagrams (but not at the same time).
