At our beautiful facilities at MacPhail Center for Music, guitar and piano students experience musical growth through the stimulating teaching of our excellent faculty, the motivating presence of their peers and the nurturing support of their parents. Students receive a combination of classes providing individual attention and group participation. Classes include a master class and group class along with enrichment classes that include composition, music theory and drumming.

Housing and meals are the responsibility of institute attendees. MacPhail Center for Music is located in downtown Minneapolis. Hotels and restaurants within short walking distance. The Depot Hotel and Residence Inn, across the street from MacPhail, features rooms/suites with kitchens and an indoor swimming pool. http://www.thedepotminneapolis.com/hotels-residence.php; Ask for the MacPhail rate.
Recreation
MacPhail Center for Music is located in downtown Minneapolis. Mill City Museum, the Guthrie Theater and the Mississippi River are within two blocks of MacPhail. Many other recreational activities, including Orchestra Hall and local theaters are easily accessible. Light rail transit is easily available to Target Field and the Mall of America.

Some limited financial aid for student attendance may be available. Contact director for information. There is light rail transit from MSP airport to within 3 blocks of MacPhail. The institute will take place in MacPhail’s newly constructed school; full handicap accessibility. See www.MacPhail.org for details.
