Langley Community Music School is a centre for excellence in music education, located in the beautiful Fraser Valley. Our Suzuki workshops are a highlight of the summer for Suzuki families. Join us and experience music-making in a nurturing and fun environment!

Student Fees

  • Piano Books 1-3 $260 (early bird), $310 after June 1

  • Strings Books 1-3 $300 (early bird), $350 after June 1
  • Strings Book 4-up $350 (early bird), $400 after June 1
  • Enrichment Classes $50 each
  • Chamber Music $80
  • Twinklers Mini Camp $200 (violin 5 yrs and under only)

Teacher Fees

Stages and Steps to Developing the Musical Ear—Diana Nuttall
How do we as teachers identify, and assess a child’s ability or stage of ear development? Using the experience of participants from any instrumental background, as well as available research, this course will examine different aspects of ear development that are age-, level-, and repertoire-relevant in the context of Dr Suzuki’s teachings.
Dates: July 12 to 15

  • Cost $285 by June 1/ $335 after June 1

Housing & Meals

Lunch can be purchased through LCMS for a minimal fee. There are various accommodation possibilities in the area: Hotels/Motels/Bed and Breakfasts/Campgrounds


There are numerous recreational opportunities in the Langley area such as hiking, biking, horse back riding, swimming as well as many beautiful parks. Adjacent to LCMS is an outdoor pool that is open to the public.

Other Info

We are very excited to offer students and parents many opportunities as part of the 2020 Suzuki Summer Institute. There will be a variety of noon hour activities including concerts, crafts and games. Student workshops kick-off with a 5:30 pm play-in and orientation, followed by a family picnic, on Sunday, July 12.

LCMS is fully equipped with handicapped accessibility. We welcome students from all over Canada, the US and abroad to join our music family this summer!
