“Bringing Music to Life!”
Langley Community Music School offers a unique opportunity for students and parents to be immersed in a nurturing musical environment. The Suzuki Strings day camp will take place in our beautiful, spacious facility where students will be taught by highly trained Suzuki instructors. There will be noon-hour concerts and activities. Group and enrichment classes will be presented in concert Monday afternoon.

In keeping with the Suzuki spirit, parents or caregivers attend classes with their children.

Student Fees

  • Twinklers Mini Camp (6yrs and under only) $250CAN (by June 1) $300CAN (after June1)
  • Extra Enrichment Class $75CAN

A non-refundable deposit of $100CAN is required at time of registration.
Please note that there is no registration in Chamber Ensemble after June1.

Teacher Fees

  • Non-refundable deposit $100CAN

This course is subject to cancellation should there be insufficient registration, in which case all fees will be refunded.

Recreation

Located in beautiful Langley City Park, the music school is surrounded by many recreation opportunities: swimming at the outdoor public pool, playing at the newly updated playground and spray park, riding, walking, or scootering on paths throughout the park, playing games on the sports fields.
Visit downtown Langley shops and library, just blocks away; take a short drive and go climbing at Penzer Action Parkour Playground.
Historic Fort Langley is nestled close by along the Fraser River.

Other Info

Our state-of-the-art dedicated music facility features a recital hall, spacious classrooms, and teaching studios which are all wheelchair accessible.
The workshop begins Thursday evening at 6:00 pm with an orientation session, including a play-in and ice cream social.

Classes will run Friday, Saturday and Monday between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, and Sunday 10:30 and 4:30, and will include
- an individual lesson in the form of a masterclass
- a technique class
- a daily repertoire class, and
- one enrichment class
Sunday classes will be followed by a picnic in the park for student families and friends.
*Enrichment classes include Drumming, Art Explorations, Chamber Ensemble
**Students may register for up to two enrichment classes if the schedule allows.

Mini Camp (for 6 years and under) includes
- a masterclass, and
- small group class

Practice rooms will be available for registered students throughout the camp.
A celebration of group and enrichment classes will be presented on Monday at 3:30 pm.
