The Calgary Suzuki Summer Institute takes place at the beginning of July, conveniently scheduled to allow families to experience an educational vacation like no other!  Come and attend the Summer Institute and while you are here, plan to extend your stay and experience the world renowned Calgary Stampede—The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth!

The beautiful new Taylor Center for the Arts, Mount Royal University’s Conservatory building, is a nurturing environment, the perfect setting for master classes, group classes, enrichment activities and teacher development courses. 

The Student Programs are offered for students of piano, guitar and trumpet from Twinklers to Advanced levels.

The Teacher Development courses include Piano Units 1 and Unit 5; Gui tar Unit 1 and Unit 3 as well as the only Suzuki Brass Teacher Training in North America—Unit 1.

On campus residences provide families with economical housing options during peak tourist season.  All prices are in Canadian dollars giving American Suzuki families an opportunity to save even more!

Piano Book 4 & up: $445

Teen Program: $445
Students 13 years and older who are studying:
Suzuki Piano/Guitar Book 4 and up; or are finished Suzuki repertoire and studying advanced piano/guitar repertoire (minimum RCM Grade 8);
Suzuki Trumpet or Advanced Trumpet Repertoire.

Home of the world famous Calgary Stampede. Calgary is a friendly, welcoming city of over a million people. It is home to Canada’s largest oil companies. Shopping, dining, and night-life are excellent and diverse. Attractions include activities at Canada Olympic Park, world-class Calgary Zoo, Heritage Park with its turn-of-the-century habitat and midway. Take in the breathtaking Rocky Mountains 45 minutes west. Summer fun in world renown Banff National Park includes hiking, camping, shopping, and golf. East of the city are the Badlands, where millions of years ago, dinosaurs roamed. Hospitality abounds!
