Trained by Alice Joy Lewis and Sandy and Joan Reuning, Stevie Sandven taught with Beth Titterington for 17 years. She loved teaching privately and working with parents and their children. Stevie was privileged to be the keynote speaker at the 2002 conference in Minneapolis. Ms. Sandven is a registered teacher trainer for the SAA. She founded two youth orchestra with the Kansas City Youth Symphony.

Because of a change in her life, Stevie propelled herself into public school teaching. The greatest thing about it was she could only improve! Now after 15 years of teaching in the schools, she feels like she might have something to share about what she has learned. She loves helping parents and students make connections between their music and their lives. Stevie has two daughters Martha and Frankie who were students of Alice Joy Lewis.
