This course meets for 6 Mondays from April 1 to May 6, 2024. (no class 4/15/24). Pre-requisite is passing the comprehensive level exam and completed Units 1-3. There may be an additional wrap-up session on May 20, 2024. Deadline to register is March 17, 2024. Written Cancellation prior to March 16 receives full refund and between 3/17-3/31 receives 50%. Pre-requisite is passing the SAA’s comprehensive audition and completed Units 1-3.

Audition: Piano Comprehensive.

Trainer Information

Sachiko Isihara

​Now in her 26th year as Executive Director of the Suzuki School of Newton, Sachiko Isihara earned her Bachelor’s in Piano Performance at New England Conservatory and a Master’s in Piano Performance at Juilliard. She has been a member of SAA since 1984. Her Suzuki training includes being a Kenkyusei in Matsumoto in 1993 and a long term apprenticeship with Colette Daltier in France. Sachiko has completed European Suzuki Level 5. In 2008, she became an SAA Suzuki Piano Teacher Trainer. In 2009 Sachiko became the director of Suzuki By the Green Piano Institute in Newton, MA. She is a founding board member of the Newton Cultural Alliance since 2009. She was a 2014 participant of the CAELI Leadership Institute held by the National Guild for Community Arts Education and in 2018 earned the Guild’s Milestone Award. In 2023 she became a member of the Suzuki Training Committee.
