Event Description

Teacher training at the Northern Illinois Suzuki Guitar Institute will be available in person or online.*

The in-person location will be:

Teaching Strategies for all teachers may be taken as an independent course. Teaching Strategies is like a master class for teaching, having clear communication with parent and child, personalized advice for giving a highly effective lesson, and creating an environment that is motivating.

*If taken as a stand alone course the course fee can be paid as $215.

This course will have a 3 hour video conference introduction held in advance of the course start date.

Teacher training at the Northern Illinois Suzuki Guitar Institute will be available in person or online.*

Teachers may bring a recorded lesson or group class with the teaching portion of the lesson being about 10 to 15 minutes in length. There may also be students available to teach as needed.

MaryLou Roberts

MaryLou Roberts teaches Suzuki Guitar and is Coordinator of the Ann Arbor Suzuki Institute. As a Suzuki Teacher Trainer in Guitar, she helps establish programs throughout the Americas and in Europe. She served for 4 years on the SAA Board of Directors, and is currently the ISA guitar committee chair, and a Board member of the Guitar Foundation of America. BM Guitar Performance, Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, MM Cleveland Institute of Music, Pi Kappa Lambda and Valedictorian.
