Event Description
Every Child Can! an introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program. To learn more, read about the ECC course and its guidelines.

Trainer Information

Nancy Modell, a graduate of Ithaca College School of Music in piano performance and education, is very passionate about teaching music. In the 1980s, as a Teacher Trainer, she pioneered the Suzuki Piano Approach in Israel where she taught students and trained local piano teachers in Jerusalem. Since 1992 she has been teaching in Springfield, NJ, inspiring students to reach their potential. Nancy continues to train teachers in the Suzuki Approach at Suzuki Summer Institutes throughout the USA. She studied ways to employ the Taubman Approach to enhance Suzuki Piano Pedagogy through an MTNA Teacher Enrichment Grant. Nancy continues exploring ways to introduce composition to students of all levels and presents her novel approach at various national and international forums. Nancy is Piano Coordinator of the NJ Suzuki Workshop and a past MEA-NJ President.
