Event Description

Every Child Can! logoEvery Child Can! is a one day introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program. To learn more, read about the ECC course and its guidelines.

Trainer Information

Amanda Schubert studied Suzuki violin with her father, Lacy McLarry, from age three through receiving a Bachelor of Music degree from Oklahoma City University. She received a Master of Music degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, studying with Norman Paulu and the Pro Arte String Quartet. Mrs. Schubert holds a Teaching Certificate from the Talent Education Research Institute in Matsumoto, Japan, studying with Shinichi Suzuki, and is a Suzuki Teacher Trainer. A member of the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra (1992-2009), and a violin faculty member of the Brevard Music Festival in North Carolina (1996 to 2011), she currently performs with Waco Symphony, Temple Symphony, and the Temple Symphony String Quartet, and serves on the violin faculty of the Central Texas String Academy. She resides in Waco, Texas with her husband and their two daughters, both violin students of their mother.
