It is important to help our students establish good habits from the beginning. We should start teaching Book 1 with Book 9 as our goal. We will discuss how we can accomplish this with work on posture, right hand and left hand technique, developing the ear, tone, expression, reading and more. The all important parent’s role will also be explored.

Trainer Information
David Madsen founded what is now the Hartt Suzuki Guitar Program in 1990. He leads the Suzuki nGuitar program at the Hartt Community Division at the Hartt School of Music. He became a registered teacher trainer with the SAA in 2000. David also started his Suzuki Early Childhood Education training in 2016 with Lynn McCall and is enjoying working with the little ones.
