Event Description
How do we lead students to make artistic interpretive choices? This seminar will guide teachers in investigating the melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic structure of a piece to aid in interpretation. These ideas are inspired by the teaching of Dr. Doris Harrel. Participants will listen to and analyze selected pieces from beginning to advanced Suzuki piano repertoire,
Sara Kotrba and Vickie Pautz will lead this from a pianist’s point of view,. Concepts could be applied to other instruments.
