Event Description
This course will take an analytical approach to supplemental repertoire that support skills learned in the Suzuki repertoire. For a variety of reasons-developing reading skills, learning pieces for contests or competitions or keeping a student at a specific level-it can be useful to use other material. This course will concentrate on etude books, solos and duet literature for levels 3-6.

Trainer Information
Laurel Ann Maurer has been a Suzuki Flute instructor for more than 20 years and in 2007 became a registered Suzuki teacher trainer. Ms. Maurer trained with Toshio Takahashi, Rebecca Paluzzi, June Warhoftig and David Gerry. Ms. Maurer’s students have been MTNA national champions have appeared on From the Top and have attended top music conservatories. Ms. Maurer also enjoys a performing and recording career, with more than 12 commercially available CDs.
