Event DescriptionEvery Child Can! an introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program. To learn more, read about the ECC course and its guidelines.
Every Child Can”© or ECC: This course is designed by the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA). It is a six hour course. Every Child Can! introduces adults to the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For teachers, parents, early childhood educators and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program. In addition to exploring the elements of the Suzuki approach and its far-reaching goals, it includes an introduction to learning styles, history of the development of Suzuki education, the role of parents, the importance of Suzuki pedagogical training, and an overview of the SAA’s role in supporting teachers and parents. A fast-paced, engaging and inspiring program, ECC includes video materials and SAA-developed courseware, and provides each participant with useful reference materials (manuals) for later study. It is a general course and is not ‘instrument-specific’. This course is open to anyone interested in learning about Suzuki Talent Education.

Trainer Information
Rolando Freitag is a registered Violin Teacher Trainer with the Suzuki Association of the Americas. He currently teaches at the Orlando Suzuki Music School, where he offers Suzuki Teacher Training courses as well as individual and group lessons, and serves as director for the Florida Music Institute. He has extensive experience working with students of all ages and ability levels, and has taught lessons, workshops, and teacher training courses throughout the Americas.
Mr. Freitag earned his M.M. in Violin Performance from Penn State University, and his B.M. in Violin Performance from Shenandoah Conservatory. In addition, he has completed the Foundations of Positive Psychology Specialization from the University of Pennsylvania, and holds the Certificate of Achievement from the Suzuki Association of the Americas.
