Every Child Can! logoEvery Child Can! an introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program. To learn more, read about the ECC course and its guidelines.

Every Child Can!© (ECC) is an introduction to Dr. Suzuki’s philosophy and its application to Suzuki education. For teachers, prospective teachers, parents and others, this course provides a thought-provoking and inspiring in depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of Americas’ Teachers Development Program. In addition to exploring the elements of the Suzuki approach and its far-reaching goals, it includes an introduction to learning styles, history of the development of Suzuki education, the role of the parents, the importance of Suzuki pedagogical training and an overview of the SAA’s role in supporting teachers and parents. A fast-paced, engaging and inspiring program, ECC includes video materials and SAA-developed courseware and each participant receives a useful reference manual for attending.
**Please note the session time. This workshop runs from 10:00 am—5:00 pm with a one hour break for lunch on your own.

Trainer Information

Wendy Azrak

Wendy Azrak has been teaching Suzuki violin since 1974. She trained and worked with leading teachers and pioneers of the Suuzki method here in the United States. She was the director of the Scio Ridge Suzuki Studio and on the faculty of the Ann Arbor Suzuki Institute. She had an active studio in her home in Ann Arbor Michigan where she taught both violin and viola students .
Wendy is a Teacher Trainer in violin and especially enjoys getting teachers started on their Suzuki journey.
Wendy has her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Michigan. She is also a Certified Music Practitioner and is a Bedside Musician at the University of Michigan Hospital.
Wendy had the privilege of serving on the Board of Directors for SAA from 2014-17.
In June 2017 Wendy retired from active teaching to move to Charlotte, NC to be with family.
