Every Child Can! logoEvery Child Can! an introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program. To learn more, read about the ECC course and its guidelines.

Every Child Can! is a one day introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. Trainer Information

Elayne Ras

Elayne Ras began Suzuki violin lessons at the age of 11 at the first Suzuki school in Toronto. She received her HBMus (Performance) & her BA in Psychology from the University of Western Ontario and became a Violin Teacher Trainer in 2002. A clinician for numerous Suzuki workshops and institutes in Canada and the US, Elayne has also adjudicated at music festivals, and served 10 years on the board of the Suzuki Association of Ontario. She is a member of the Guelph Symphony, and taught with the Suzuki String School of Guelph for 14 years. Elayne is the Director of the Southwestern Ontario Suzuki Institute in Waterloo, Ontario as well as SOSI’s director of violin/viola programming. She completed a Certificate in Applied Positive Psychology, and is excited to be able to apply principles of Positive Psychology in her studio, and in her teacher training classes.
