Event Description
This is an enrichment course for teachers and parents designed to address the importance of building a strong Suzuki foundation able to sustain a child from the beginning stages through a lifetime in music. Topics to be discussed include: Suzuki philosophy as it applies to education of parents and children, how to assess progress in a child’s Suzuki development, successful introduction of early skills to both parent and child, the understanding of mastery before moving on (of teacher, parent, and student), the goal of a lifelong Suzuki education for teacher, parent, and child.
Teachers are asked to bring a video recording (DVD) of a student at the Twinkle or early book one level, or as early as possible. The course will be 8 hours, plus observing students signed up for Master Class lessons with Michele.
