Class will meet Online on four consecutive days, Tuesday through Friday 10am to 12:30pm Eastern Time.

Event Description

Starting in 2025, “Teaching Strategies” will become a core course in the Suzuki curriculum and a prerequisite for Unit 3. We highly recommend that all teachers who have already completed Unit 3 enroll in “Teaching Strategies” as soon as possible.

“Teaching Strategies” is a 10-hour course designed to enhance teaching effectiveness. Up to 10 participants will share video clips of their teaching and receive constructive feedback from a Teacher Trainer. Participants must provide at least one lesson video of 30 minutes or more to participate.

We require a minimum of 5 participants to ensure a dynamic and engaging learning experience. If enrollment falls below this number, all tuition will be fully reimbursed and the course will be canceled.

Trainer Information

Rolando Freitag

Rolando Freitag is a registered Violin Teacher Trainer with the Suzuki Association of the Americas. He currently teaches at the Orlando Suzuki Music School, where he offers Suzuki Teacher Training courses as well as individual and group lessons, and serves as director for the Florida Music Institute. He has extensive experience working with students of all ages and ability levels, and has taught lessons, workshops, and teacher training courses throughout the Americas.

Mr. Freitag earned his M.M. in Violin Performance from Penn State University, and his B.M. in Violin Performance from Shenandoah Conservatory. In addition, he has completed the Foundations of Positive Psychology Specialization from the University of Pennsylvania, and holds the Certificate of Achievement from the Suzuki Association of the Americas.
