Theory Books?

Do you use theory workbooks as part of your lesson assignments? I never did any sort of theory growing up in my Suzuki lessons. My teacher just taught me the ideas (notes, rhythms, key signatures, etc.) as needed, and I’ve been doing the same with my students.

But, I was thinking it would be better to have some sort of theory system. Do any of you have recommendations of a workbook series you like? I saw “Theory Time” on the Young Musicians website (about $8 per book, about 10 different grades/levels), or “Freddy Fiddle & Betty Bow” (about $17 per book). Any advice?
