I have been captivated by the most interesting blog http://harmonybeat.blogspot.com/ by a young Julliard trained Violinist who was invited to teach violin and viola in Afghanistan at the Afghanistan National Institute of Music http://www.afghanistannationalinstituteofmusic.org/

I can’t think of a more challenging culture or environment to teach in. Yet has many surprising incidents in his post.

I expect the climate will be brutal and there are a list of things that his Head master has not thought of. So he may need some music teacher TLC. It is best to read as much as you can and contact William on his Facebook.

I’m hoping after he settles in a bit he will think of things that we can do to be helpful to him as a Suzuki community.

1st off just get the word out to as many musicians and music educators we know that he is there.

Aren’t there more than 23? Surely at least 24. Shame there should be more.

Some are quite funny or endearing and even imaginative. Please treat your students.
