Someone told me that there is a Bugs Bunny cartoon with Gossec Gavotte as the music. It is where Bugs wears dresses and puts on makeup. Has anyone seen this? What is the title? Where can I get it? I think it would be fun to show a group class for a change of pace.

Gossec Gavotte is in a Walt Disney cartoon where Mickey, Donald, and Goofy are chasing a moose.
We have it on a video called “Mickey and the Gang #11.”
The name of the actual cartoon is “Moose Hunters.”

I don’t know about bugs bunny (there are a lot of merry melodies cartoons with great classical music….—our local summer outdoor orchestras (in this case, the Hollywood Bowl and the Pacific Symphony in Southern California) often make a point of putting on a WB/Merry Melodies concert. The Orchestra plays live while a jumbo screen shows the original cartoon—especially popular are the ones where Bugs is the conductor.

On a sidenote, Gossec’s Gavotte is recorded on a CD I have of ‘encores’ by Mische Elman; it’s “all fancied up” from the version we give to book 1 violin students, with extra acrobatics, rhythmic syncopations, and double stops, and etc. (Plus its not in the same key).

I realize this thread is 10 years old, but I just came across it when I was searching for this cartoon myself. Here’s the video I found, in case anyone else is looking for it:
