A Canadian study showed that early study of music, especially by 12 Suzuki-trained students, had a positive affect on test scores. Of course!

Thanks for the link! I had posted a Washington Post article on this study to the site front page yesterday, but it’s nice to have a second write-up that you don’t need to register to read.

Here are links to the webpage of the University that ran the study about Suzuki violin and the impact on kids’ brains and to a piece the London Times ran on the study:,,2-2366426,00.html

It will be very interesting to see if more research follows this wonderful study!
