Dealing with tension

Tension is a constant “stealer of tone” AND can lead to burnout and injury.

Here are some recent practice tips I put together to deal with tension:

The Arm Swing Cure
Thumb Vacation
The Water Hose

These are based on a combination of Alexander, Golandsky, and Suzuki. They work well with intermediate students who have acquired bad habits and do not know how to release tension. PM me if you want more in this area, I’m glad to be of help.
