At what age should kids start leaning music? And how do we find whether the child has that talent to learn music or not?

Hi Ashlea,

I encourage you to read up on the philosophy of the Suzuki method:

You’ll find a lot of answers to your question there!

Shinichi Suzuki believed that all children have the ability to learn music when immersed in a nurturing musical environment and that talent is an ability that can be developed—not an innate trait. Suzuki teachers the world over have been teaching children using this principle with great success for more than 50 years!

Hi Ashlea,
I actually just wrote a blog post about talent this week! Here’s the link.

And as far as age goes, you’re never too old to begin, and almost never too young, some teachers take students as young as 2 or 3 and others like to take 4 and 5 year old beginners.
