Dear Patrons,

I had a full running studio—until I chose to back to school (to get a degree in a different field to supplement income) and the school where I was teaching for 20-years closed down. While in school I had a skeleton running studio. This group have grown up and moved on. Can I get some help to re-start a Suzuki Studio. I am not allowed to advertise because where I am sub-letting do not allow advertising; and my Town does not allow to run a business in one’s own home.

I advertised in the bulletin of my church with little to no results because of all the schools in that area have their own music programme and outsiders are not welcomed.

I also experienced co-teachers are not willing to refer their overflow. Sad but true.

Thanks, Rosina

Often times music stores have rooms that can be rented cheaply for teaching/lesson purposes. This would provide you with an alternative to your home, and they will often advertise for you as well.

Volunteer to teach Master Classes at the local school. Or “introduction to (your instrument)” class at elementary schools. Include a flier for the kids to take home with them, that will introduce you to their parents. (I think I saw that suggestion somewhere else on here).

Best wishes,
