I wrote an article last week about one idea I’ve tried to teach my students how musicality or playing musically feels. Please let me know what you think:

I tried this concept with my group class a couple of times now. The students really enjoyed it and I believe it really helped them to move with the dynamics, as a group. Wonderful idea.

This sounds terrific! Thanks Sue, can’t wait to try it in group classes.

Any ideas on how to do this in piano group? I envision myself playing while the students are in a circle, but can’t have them play together.

I wondered the same thing, Lori. I envisioned using my Bose speaker and iPod so that I could be in the circle with the students. Live music would definitely be better.
