A new edition (with an introduction by Sally Thomas), in paperback and reasonably priced, of Mr. Galamian’s book is now available on Amazon. Needless to say, this is probably the most important and helpful book on violin you could purchase, and has lots of photographs and material interesting to violin/fiddle students. Please see:

Principles of Violin Playing and Teaching

Thanks for the info, Connie!

I picked up two copies of the new Dover edition on Amazon this past week, one to loan out to private students and the other to put in my lending library at my school program. I have the older black-cover edition from SHAR that is dog-eared from being lent out so much, and it’s great to see that it can be obtained for under $10 instead of $30.
