Lakewood Suzuki Strings (LSS) is a Suzuki Method program offering violin, viola and cello instruction for children ages 3 and up. LSS is looking for experienced violin, viola, or cello faculty candidates to join this dynamic new program. This is a part-time position with opportunity for growth.
Fonctions :
-Teach private lessons and group classes -Attend and lead student performances -Perform in faculty concerts -Keep track of student attendance and progress -Attend faculty meetings -Foster a sense of community, confidence, and inclusion among studio families
Qualifications :
-Bachelor of Music degree (required) and Master of Music degree (preferred) -Registered SAA training through Book 4 -Minimum 3 years Suzuki teaching experience, both group class and private lessons -Professional performance experience -Commitment to life-long learning and continued Suzuki education
Salaire :
-$50/hour teaching salary -$300 annual professional development reimbursement for continued education -Additional compensation for faculty performances LSS faculty members also teach 6-9 weekly lessons with Lakewood City Schools. LCS lessons have a separate teaching rate which LSS does not set.
