At the Kansas City Suzuki Institute, we understand the importance of creating a welcoming and comfortable learning environment. Cello, violin and viola students studying in Suzuki Book 1 – 8 and beyond are welcome to come join us at the Kansas City Suzuki Institute and embark on a musical journey that will inspire and enrich your life. Instrumental students must be past their twinkles to participate in the institute. Suzuki Early Childhood Education Classes and Teacher Training Enrichment Courses will also happen during the week.
Depending on your child’s age and stage, their class load will include 4-6 hours of activities each day. Each student must be accompanied by an adult to experience the classes with them and chaperone them throughout the day. A typical student schedule will include masterclass, repertoire class (group class), fiddling, orchestra, chamber music, yoga for musicians, zumba or musicianship.
Check-in, orientation meeting and a play-in will happen in the afternoon and early evening of Sunday, June 22nd. June 23rd-27th student with have their daily schedule, plus optional special evening events. The week will wrap up with a final student performance on Friday evening!
