Qu'est-ce que l'ASA ?
Founded in 1972, The Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA) is a community of 8,000 teachers, parents, educators, and learners dedicated to making music and early childhood education available to all young people in the Americas. We create an international learning community which embraces excellence and nurtures the human spirit, and we work to improve the quality of life in the Americas through the Suzuki Method. We offer a number of professional development opportunities to teachers and have several tools for supporting parents and students. The SAA is officially licensed by the International Suzuki Association to support, guide, and promote Suzuki education in North, Central, and South America. Along with four regional associations, the SAA promotes and supports Dr. Suzuki’s Talent Education.

About The International Suzuki Association
The International Suzuki Association (ISA) was officially established in 1983 at the Sixth International Conference held in Matsumoto, Japan. Dr. Suzuki had long wished to set up an international organization to unite all teachers and parents interested in the Suzuki Method, and the formation of the ISA was a result of this intention.
The Suzuki Association of the Americas is among the ISA’s five regional associations. The ISA shares the goal of furthering the philosophical and educational ideals of Shinichi Suzuki. The regional associations represent various geographic areas of the world, as described below. Membership in the ISA is determined by agreement with each individual region. SAA members are automatically affiliated with the ISA, and individual membership is not required.
Regional associations are dedicated to meeting the needs of those in their areas who are interested in Suzuki’s approach to music and other early education. They serve teachers, parents, and students in many ways, including disseminating information about the Suzuki Method, coordinating teacher training programs, conferences and student activities, and providing resource materials.
