WSM is a thriving school with a local reputation for excellence, in a town that values music education, with no other full Suzuki program nearby. We serve about 250 families (including 70 – 80 Suzuki families). Enrollment grows from EC classes and word-of-mouth, and we continue to need new teachers.
Deberes:
Teach private lessons and group classes (depending on teacher’s availability) Prepare students for twice-yearly recitals and other community performances. Willingness to teach both traditional and Suzuki students a plus. Possibility of advanced students, and chamber music coaching.
Cualificaciones:
Suzuki registered through Book 2 minimum (higher preferred) 8 -10 years professional teaching experience Enthusiasm, sense of humor, "on the spot" creativity Strong performance skills and credits Commitment to continued growth as teacher and musician Willingness to be part of a team
Salario:
Hourly rate (for 2023-24): Private lessons $57/hr, chamber music $62/hr, group classes $67.75/hr. Recitals and events are also paid. We reimburse 50% for further Suzuki training. Attendance/makeup policies emphasize respect for teachers’ time and professionalism, and are firmly upheld.
