Cello Unit 2

Cello Unit 2 will be held online Tuesdays (Feb 2, 9, 16 and March 2, 9, 16) from 8:30 am to 11am Chicago (Central) Time . Cost: $450
If you register for Books 2-3, and Teaching Strategies, the total cost is $900.

100% attendance and Audition, ECC, and Book 1 are prerequisites.

This will allow the required Teaching Strategies course (to continue with book 3) to be held Feb 23, March 23 & 30 and April 27. This is a separate registration. Book 3 follows the Tuesday schedule through May 18.

Requirements for Book 2 besides 100% attendance are:

• 1 book report
• 1 wrap-up
• 8 hours of observation
• the practical exam, which is playing the book from memory. The practical time may be outside of class time depending on enrollment.

There is a unit on group class teaching, Movement Class, and Musicianship Class (beginning reading) for which the class will prepare lesson plans.

Register below SAA and pay me for the course directly (details in your confirmation email). When you pay me, I will send you the course materials and online access. The plan is to offer books 4 through 8 the following year with a similar schedule. Contact me with questions: [email protected].

You will receive an email confirmation after signing up with instructions on how to pay the balance of the tuition.  You can also verify your enrollment from your profile under Upcoming Courses.

If the enrollment box isn’t visible and you only see the waitlist option, it means you’re missing either an audition or a course prerequisite on your training profile. Please join the waitlist while you complete that class or wait for your audition results.
