Last February the NIOK Quartet, a flute quartet of the Suzuki studio of Sibylle Marquardt at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, won at the Kiwanis Music Festival of Greater Toronto and went on to perform at the provincial level in Peterborough, Ontario. The flutists, Nicoli Dos Santos, Isabela Dos Santos, Oona Nadler, and Katrina Hueniken, who have played together in Sibylle’s Suzuki group for 6 to 10 years, had a great time performing together and enjoyed the new experience at the Festival.
