Everybody Twinkles!

On March 7, 2020 my studio had their annual recital two months early due to my impending maternity leave. Little did we know how lucky we were to need to move the usual timeline up because the next weekend everything would be shut down due to the COVID pandemic!
That day’s recital had about two thirds of my studio involved, with 37 students playing in this picture for our final song in the group play down at our reception. In this picture we are playing “Twinkle: Variation A (Mississippi Hot Dog)” on the D and A String. I was endlessly grateful we were able to share this memory before the pandemic craziness started for everyone and is a highlight of my teaching career so far.
