Every Child Can! logoEvery Child Can! an introductory course on the Suzuki philosophy and its application to education. For parents, teachers, prospective teachers and others, this course provides an inspiring, in-depth look at the Suzuki approach to teaching and learning. For teachers, ECC serves as the first course in the Suzuki Association of the Americas Teacher Development Program. To learn more, read about the ECC course and its guidelines.

Trainer Information

Louise Scott

Louise Scott is Emerita Professor of Violin and Pedagogy in the Kitt School of Music at Northern Arizona University. She holds a DMA from the University of Arizona, MM and BME from Michigan State University studying with Walter Verdehr, additional work at Indiana University with Josef Gingold and Suzuki training with John Kendall Units 1-10. She was Concertmaster of Arizona Opera Orchestra for 26 years. Now Associate Concertmaster of Flagstaff Symphony after serving as Concertmaster for 36 years. Through the Long Term Teacher Training program at NAU, Dr. Scott and colleague, Dr. Karin Hallberg, provided Suzuki training to many students who are now teaching in schools and programs across the country. Awards: NAU Distinguished Faculty Award in 1992, AZ American String Teacher Association Outstanding Studio Teacher Award in 2011, Flagstaff VIOLA award in Education. She served as Director of the School of Music from 2002 to 2006.
