Wayland School of Music is a thriving school with high local visibility and a reputation for excellence, in a town that values music education. There is no other full Suzuki program nearby. We serve about 250 families, including 70 – 80 Suzuki families. Enrollment grows from Early Childhood feeder classes, local endorsements, and word-of-mouth, and we continue to need new teachers.

Atribuições:

Teach private lessons and group classes (depending on teacher’s availability). Prepare students for twice-yearly recitals and other community performances. Willingness to teach both traditional and Suzuki students a plus. Possibility of advanced students and chamber music coaching.

Qualificações:

Suzuki registered through Book 2 minimum (higher preferred) 8 -10 years professional teaching experience Enthusiasm, sense of humor, “on the spot” creativity Strong performance skills and credits Commitment to continued growth as teacher and musician Willingness to be part of a team

Salário:

Private lessons $59/hr; chamber music 64.50/hr; group classes $70.25/hr. We reimburse 50% for further Suzuki training. Attendance/makeup policies emphasize respect for teachers’ time and professionalism, and are firmly upheld.
