Established in the early 1960’s by Elizabeth and Harlow Mills, PSMP has been nurturing musicians in the Pasdena area for over 45 years.

PSMP offers periodic short teacher training & professional development seminars or workshops, alongside weekly Suzuki group workshops & private lessons. PSMP Faculty specialize in teaching Early Childhood music & movement classes, BodyMapping, Jazz Improv, Suzuki in the Schools, and Suzuki-style Violin, Viola, Flute, Guitar, Bass, and Piano.

The mission of the Pasadena Suzuki Music Program, an inclusive community of students, their families, teachers and supporters, embraces the philosophy of Dr. Shinichi Suzuki in order to foster the musical and personal growth of children of all abilities, including the under-served, by creating and appreciating musical excellence, and developing sensitivity, discipline and endurance so that our students will nurture their musical talents, become ambassadors of peace, hope and understanding, and have beautiful hearts.
